Claudia L. Allen, LP VIII, was elected Vice President of the Board of Trustees for the Pittsburgh Child Guidance Foundation.

Larry S. Blair, LP XVI, was named to the board of Industrial Scientific Corporation.  

Deena Conte, LP XXIII participant, was named to the board of the Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council.

Jennifer Daurora, current LDI XIV participant, talks about being a leader in training in her family's business.

Mary Frances Dean, LP XXI, was recently named to the board of The Pittsburgh Planned Giving Council.

Rep. Eugene DePasquale, LDI I,  was noted for potentially setting an example for other lawmakers.

Mariann Geyer, LP XII, shines in the spotlight as a PIttsburgh Tribune Review Newsmaker.

Terri Henderson, LP XX, was named director of project development for the Boys & Girls Club of Western Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Highfield, LDI VII, was elected to the board of the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble Inc.

Twyla Johnson, LP XX, has joined the board of directors for the YWCA Greater Pittsburgh.

Allison Lee-Mann, LP XIII, was named Vice Chair of the board of directors of Youth Works.

Carolyn Maue, LP XVI,  was named a Vice President of the board of directors for the YWCA Greater Pittsburgh.

Iris Nahemow, LP XIV, was named chair of the board of directors of Youth Works.

Bruce Nelson, LP XXI, has been promoted to head of the Microsoft division of R.L. Nelson and Associates, Inc., and will serve as the organization's President and CEO.

Steven Paul, LDI XI, was named Executive Director of Preservation Pittsburgh.

Frank J. Pistella, LP III will concentrate on public benefit issues at Neighborhood Legal Services Association's Pittsburgh offices.

William Schenck, LP I, of TriState Capital Bank is ready to break more records above and beyond the $85 million his company recently raised - making it the largest startup bank in state history when it began operations January 25th.  

Alex Sciulli, LP VI,  is on a mission to change perhaps one of the biggest mis-conceptions about the Engineers' Society of Western Pennsylvania.


Ed Shriver, LP XVII, discusses how Downtown-based Strada Architecture LLC is the only Pittsburgh architecture firm to design a casino.

Dr. Howard Slaughter, Jr., LP IX, was added to the board of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.

Thomas Sterling, LP IV, was recently named senior vice president-administration for U.S. Steel Corp.

Alex W. Thomson, LP XIX, was made a member of the 2007 executive committee at Houston Harbaugh P.C., Attorneys at Law.

Jonathan Walkush, LDI III, was named a member of the board of directors of Youth Works.

B.J. Leber, LP IX, ended the first week of her new job with a gala: the West Penn Hospital Foundation's Friendship Ball

Eve Picker, LPXIII, and Yvonne Campos, LP IX, were spotted sharing smiles at the Pittsburgh Business Times' 2007 Book of Lists Reception.

Chloe Velasquez, LP XVIII, was honored with a 2007 Duquesne Light African-American Leadership Award.

Stephen Winikoff, LDI X,  is celebrating with event co-chair Susan Renda at Chatham Baroque's Eighth Annual Twelfth Night Gala.

Enterprising Woman

Yvonne Campos, LP IX, another Pittsburgh Tribune Review Newsmaker, is a recipient of the 2007 Enterprising Women of the Year Award from Enterprising Women Magazine. Yvonne is President and CEO of Downtown-based Campos, Inc., and received the award in the category of a business with more than $1 million and up to $5 million in annual sales. More than 40 entrepreneurs were nominated for this award. Campos' selection reflects the growth of her business and her leadership in the community.
