Pittsburgh was incorporated as a City on March 18, 1816.
In 2016 Pittsburgh will celebrate its Bicentennial – the 200th anniversary of its incorporation as a City. Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. is proud to join over 200 Pittsburgh organizations in the celebration.
The Mayor is planning a celebration, to be held on July 9, 2016 – because on that date in 1816, our first Mayor, Ebenezer Denny, was sworn into office.
The celebration will take place at Point State Park and will begin with a Parade going down Liberty Ave. to the park.

Leadership Pittsburgh Inc. will hold the fifth anniversary of its popular Annual Luncheon event on January 12th 2016 at the Fairmont Pittsburgh.
